The Conch House Restaurant

57 Comares Ave., St. Augustine, FL 32080, United States   +19048298646

Conch House is one of the St. Augustine waterfront restaurants that made us crazy about the seafood. Out table on the lively patio came with a wonderful view toward the beautiful and wide waterfront.

As a great addition to the food, this place offers daily, monthly, and annual slip rentals for all-size vessels.

This cozy restaurant is housed in the elegant Salt Run Channel overlooking the waterfront in the picturesque St. Augustine. The Conch House Marina is designated a Florida “Clean Marina.” We were happy to meet on the beautiful outdoor Lounge Deck, near a bright, relaxing pool, because the weather allowed that. Beautiful and clean rooms also accommodate indoor seating.

And now let’s talk about the amazing food this place has in addition to the boating, drinks, music, and sun.

For appetizers, we had Banana Pepper Calamari and Local Gator Tail. We combined these appetizers with Caesar Salad and Island Hopper Salad. We chose Lobster Mac and Cheese as a dish that grabbed our attention, together with Shrimp Tacos

This place is generous when it comes to fresh seafood, directly brought from the sea. Therefore, our kind advice is to not miss the Island Catch and Salt Run Catch

Either will blow your mind.

Cap’s On the Water

4325 Myrtle St., St. Augustine, FL 32084, United States

Oh my God, I love this place. This place will bring shiny vacation vibes, and you will have no other option but to feel like you are on vacation in some tropical paradise.

I had the best martini while I was enjoying the nice summerish ambiance. Here, I witnessed one of the most stunning sunsets, with a colorful shade of peach combined with violet.

I can’t explain how amazing it was to sit outside and have different cocktails and cold beers. Also, for all wine lovers here, you will find an exceptional wine list with over 500 selections.

We ordered fresh seafood with Southern and Mediterranean flavors that was heavenly. The Tuna Tartare was out of this world.

Cap's On the Water Tuna Tartare

The dining time we had will always stay in my memory since this place has a large and breathtaking outdoor deck for the best waterfront dining. There is also a traditional tiki bar and the Sunset Oyster Bar.

Cap’s has everything to improve your mental health and to forget about your stress and anxiety.

I especially liked the Florida Gumbo, a stew-like soup with shrimp, crab, crawfish, okra, garlic, onion, tomatoes, peppers, and celery. I started the night with this fantastic food, and then, for appetizers,  I ordered Garlic Oysters baked in garlic butter, parsley, and grated Parmesan. The Smoked Salmon Bruschetta was the best bruschetta I have ever tried.

We also sampled Wild Mushroom Risotto, Tomato Basil Pasta, and Honey Rosemary Salmon, experiencing our special nirvana soaking up the beautiful sunset. I wanted to be some mystical creature so I could have more eyes to enjoy it.

I am in love with this place. You will feel fabulous after dining at this waterfront restaurant in St. Augustine.

Kingfish Grill on the Water

252 Yacht Club Dr., St. Augustine, FL 32084, United States +19048242111

The minute we arrived, we immediately knew that the king of the show here in this St. Augustine waterfront restaurant would be seafood.

This place will thrill you with excellent service, surrounded by lovely nature that will be your companion during your dinner while sitting on the dockside patio. Here you will find a casual St. Augustine seafood eatery with a cheery dining room that will make you feel like you have been here many times.

When you are visiting new places, comfort is very important, and here you will find it in vast amounts.

I considered this place beautiful, definitely a hidden gem in St. Augustine. I loved the feeling I had when I was surrounded by trees, plants, boats, and water. It was something that I would like to experience over and over.

I loved my poke bowl; the tuna was so fresh and good. I also enjoyed shrimp and chips. The sushi was also refreshing. It was good food, so I really want to come again. We also tried Conch fritters as an appetizer; they were very fresh and light.

Other recommended items that we unfortunately did not order include a Seafood boil, blackened grouper, horseradish-crusted mahi, Bubba Gump sushi, crab cluster, plus a wide variety of sides.

If you miss this place, you’re only hurting yourself! Pay a visit to this best-of St. Augustine waterfront restaurant!

Hurricane Patty’s

69 Lewis Blvd., St. Augustine, FL 32084, United States  +19043427338

It is hard to say which one of these restaurants is my favorite. But definitely, Hurricane Patty’s is a place that has a special spot in my diary.

Surrounded by beautiful decor, impressive colors, and amazing views of all the majestic boats, this place is a guarantee for exceptional fine dining on St. Augustine’s waterfront.

We had an amazing cocktail specially made with syrups and flavors that create a uniqueness of flavors. It’s not just a cocktail; it is a profound enjoyment.

The restaurant is located near the harbor, and this location is perfect for all beach lovers. We thoroughly enjoyed the amazing sunset and the smell of the sea.

Enjoying the nice ambiance, with a table near a window, I ordered Alfredo with shrimp as a main course. This was my choice since I was craving shrimp.  I loved their Coconut Shrimp as my appetizer while waiting

Hurricane Patty's Alfredo with Shrimp

My friend had Cajun Alfredo with shrimp added, and it, too, was a pure treasure. They were cooked perfectly, as well as the noodles. The fish and chips served to a nearby table looked delicious and crispy. Another table had steak, offered in a huge portion.  While tempted, I would have needed a second stomach just to consider finishing it.

I Love Hurricane Patty’s old Florida vibe, and I can’t wait to visit again.

So, what are you waiting for? Dress casually, have a smilel on your face, and enjoy this place without regrets.

Beaches at Vilano

254 Vilano Rd., St. Augustine, FL 32084, United States  +19048290589

This beautiful St. Augustine waterfront restaurant has a laidback concept and an astonishing view toward the Tolomato River.

Beaches at Vilano offer amazing seafood, many cocktails, and an entertaining ambiance.

I really liked the location. It is perfect for lunch or dinner after having a busy day at the beach.

Here you will find friendly staff and good selections of seafood and continental food.

I love this place because it is intimate, a palace where I had dinner with my toes in the sand, listening to live music and eating extraordinary food.

The beauty of this place lies in the fact that it is truly a little vacation spot where you can relax and enjoy it without thinking about all troubles in your life.

I had the Chicken Wrap with Tater Tots and enjoyed it.  We tried a few appetizers, and all of them were delicious.

Within our group, the Shrimp Tacos were pronounced delicious, and also the Steamed Broccoli. Another had Cedar Key Conch Chowder, followed by the Fish Dip. I also recommend choosing the signature dish of Thai Chili Scallops or the tender Fried Clam Strips.

If you are looking forward to hearing a recommendation for the drinks, I recommend having The Goombay Smash cocktail. It was very good.

And I can’t forget to mention the Fried cheesecake; it was the best.

We recommend visiting this place, enjoying the beautiful sunset that will make you believe in miracles, and trying food that is excellently prepared casual fare.

River & Fort Restaurant & Roof Top Lounge

12 Avenida Menendez, St. Augustine, FL 32084, United States +19044818396

This St. Augustine waterfront restaurant is another astonishing place when it comes to having an amazing view while you have your dinner. The view is really unique and appealing and is something that you can’t miss if you are on vacation in St. Augustine.

The view is so good that you would run to the top, order a draft beer and have a view from the fort.

We were sitting on the outdoor patio, enjoying the view, taking pictures of the view, and also the visually spectacular meals that unfairly increase your appetite. Views from the rooftop bar are stunning and definitely don’t disappoint.

We were examining the menu and wondering about the number of dishes we would like to choose. We were very satisfied with our servers; they helped us with our choice through their good knowledge of the menu and the dishes.

A dish that tempted me a lot was a hand-cut filet, with a surprisingly good combination of ingredients such as tomato-bacon jam combined with herbed red potatoes, asparagus, and bordelaise sauce. Fried pickle hush puppies are the right choice for appetizers among the many other appetizers from the rich menu, including deviled eggs, where the caramelized bacon dominates and totally seduces you.

Because of the name, my choice was the Stuffed New York Strip rather than the filet,  It was tasty and stood out for me.

My friend especially liked the Ocean Platter, the chef’s fresh catch. It was really something that marked this restaurant and the night we had. I managed to sneak a sample or two, and it has all my compliments.

Don’t miss this place if you are looking for a waterfront St. Augustine restaurant.

River & Fort was impressive all the way around. We highly recommend it. The food, the location, and the views were amazing.

O C White’s Seafood & Spirits

118 Avenida Menendez, St. Augustine, FL 32084, United States  +19048240808

We had a unique experience visiting this place. I really liked the charm of the outdoor patio and historic building which made me do some research about this place.

It is a friendly place with a family vibe, encouraging you to plan some other getaway weekend with your family or your date, because of the romantic inspiration you got when you are sitting here.

This place will spoil you with fresh, good food, an authentic kitchen, and will let you enjoy live music seven days a week.

The harbor is only feet away, so if you have some water-themed activities you will easily reach this place, enjoy the view, and dine indoors or in garden seating. The outdoor patio has two levels with nice views.

We had delicious drinks. I had Sangria, and it was the drink I needed to feel reckless and adventurous. Our recommendations also include delicious Mimosas that are perfect for brunch.

White and red sangria with fruit and ice. Summer alcohol drink and ingredients. sangria with red and white wine in decanter with wineglasses in wine glass on bar blurred background

We liked the Steak and Shrimp pasta with the influence of the garlic that made the whole dish incredible and executed properly.  Other dishes we recommend that you enjoy are the Seafood and Shrimp ‘N’ Grits. Another in our group raved about the wonderfully prepared pork chop, and the table shared a side of Fried Green Tomatoes

One of the best waterfront restaurants in St. Augustine. Make a stop when you visit this beautiful city.
