When I feel terrible food cravings and I am dangerously hungry, I always hesitate between pizza and Chinese food, as a quick decision is easy to execute for either. Yet, in many cases, I rarely decide to go with the most popular dish in the world, pizza. I often decide on a mix of tastes and creativity, and here Chinese food is my guilty pleasure.
That’s why I was looking forward to visiting different Chinese restaurants in Vallejo since I already have a list of my favorite restaurants in my home city. Therefore, as I travel, I create a list of other Chinese restaurants in those cities, and this historical and adventurous city in California’s San Francisco Bay Area is not an exception.

I believe that my previous article about Must-Try Vallejo Mexican Restaurants was very helpful. Therefore, I am very happy that I can once again write about a versatile and delicious culinary experience I had in this historic city, which definitely deserves more attention from travelers and people who want to try something different.

8 Must-Try Chinese Restaurants in Vallejo
China Wok
512 Sacramento St., Vallejo, CA 94590, United States //+17076452008
Asian cuisine is like yoga for your stomach; it frees all your senses and makes you feel happy and eager to experience perfection in every field of your life. Here you will find perfectly prepared food with well-served flavors. Our friend from Vallejo booked our table, and everything was well-organized and smooth.
I had garlic-fried crabs, and I couldn’t stop talking about this masterpiece. The plate was very creatively prepared with cucumber and lemon. The service is fast because there is a button to press to call your waiter. The caramelized organic mushrooms are also very good, and you can have them as appetizers. I recommend this if you decide on a take-out or delivery. You can order outstanding food through doordash.com, and experience the beauty of relevant, authentic Chinese food from one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Vallejo.

For other dishes, I recommend Mongolian Beef, Orange Chicken, Egg Rolls, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Beef with green onion. This last one is really dangerous because you will spread a strong odor around yourself, but it’s really tasty.
Take a quick glance at the menu of this magnificent Vallejo Chinese restaurant and enjoy.
Szechuan Chinese Cuisine
2079 Solano Ave., Vallejo, CA 94590, United States //+17075544657
This place offers comfort and great service. You can sit with your friends on those red leather seats and dine. My suggestion is to order online, since this place is extremely popular with the local people, who love this place and recommend it often. You can make a reservation by picking a date, time, and party size.
I recommend these dishes when you visit this simple but charming place close to the freeway. The portions are fair for the price and large. You can order different dishes and share them with each other, as our group did in this restaurant, one of the recommended Chinese restaurants in Vallejo.

- spicy fried chicken wings, a mouth-watering dish
- hot and sour soup, if you work out and need protein, yet count calories
- salt and pepper fish, very professionally prepared
- honey walnut prawns, best in town
- chicken egg foo young, if you want to sample real egg flavor
- delicacies over sizzling rice, one of the outstanding house specialties
- Szechaun drumsticks, the real reason for all the cravings for Chinese food
- salt and pepper pork ribs if you like a spicy dish with chili powder, chili flakes, and jalapeños
This Vallejo Chinese restaurant is where all the familiar Chinese dishes will become your obsession.
China Café
414 Georgia St., Vallejo, CA 94590, United States //+17076480797
China Cafe is another place where you can experience traditional Chinese food in Vallejo. They have excellent tea, and this is the way they greet and welcome you. A perfect match of excellent service and tasty food.
I recommend trying honey walnut prawns, the seafood platter, vegetable fried rice, duck meat, and, of course, egg rolls.
It is a perfect place to visit after the farmers market and enjoy outstanding flavored food. It is in a great location, and it is not overpriced, considering the quality of the food.
This is your spot for fresh, delicious, and hot Chinese food in Vallejo.

Kwongnan Restaurant
405 York St., Vallejo, CA 94590, United States //+17075541696
IMDB for watching movies, TripAdvisor for accommodations, and Yelp for experiencing food miracles. Kwongan Restaurant is assessed with four stars based on 152 reviews on Yelp and 4.5 on TripAdvisor, but I would not give it less than five stars.
I liked this place so much because even though I have never been to China, the place made me connect with the country’s culture and inspired me to read more about Asian cuisine and Chinese food in general. It’s the most authentic and legitimate Chinese restaurant in Vallejo out of all other Chinese restaurants in Vallejo.
The food is well-flavored and has very tasty ingredients. You can feed your family or friends with the portion sizes since the plate is big and the prices are great. You get value for the money, and that is something that should be appreciated.

The hosts are very polite and treat you as a friend. Here, you can have tea with the owner and have a pleasant conversation about the restaurant and the food itself.
I ate egg rolls, and I can say that they are not heavy and not greasy. They are soft and perfect. Also, Honey Walnut Prawns are very good, and the House fried rice. Garlic chicken noodles are also astonishing for those who eat noodles at home.
At Kwongnan, you will experience great home-cooked Chinese food in Vallejo.
New China Barn
320 Tuolumne St., Vallejo, CA 94590, United States //+17076421523
Across from the courthouse, you will find this perfect place for dining and relaxing. This is a classic Chinese restaurant where you can eat all the notable Chinese dishes such as Kung Pao Chicken and egg rolls. The place provides a delivery service so you can easily order food since the place has advanced online ordering and is focused on reducing the time for providing all tasty dishes.
You can take a fast glance at the menu here and order the one dish that catches your eye.

Here are the dishes I recommend:
- Singapore rice noodles
- Spicy hot salt and pepper wings
- Sweet and sour deep-fried prawns
- Mongolian beef
- Sweet and sour pork
- Lemon Chicken
- Eggplant with prawns
When it is dinner time, what is better than Chinese takeout?
Hop Hing’s Kitchen
3748 Sonoma Blvd., Vallejo, CA 94590, United States //+17075543615
This modest restaurant opens at 11:00 am and offers unforgettable experiences when it comes to food. The ambiance is ordinary, and the decor is nothing special, but this doesn’t stop you from enjoying and tasting authentic Chinese food in Vallejo.
The place offers great food options for kids and vegetarians. Here you can dine, have lunch, and exercise since the place has good bike parking. This place is an inexpensive restaurant; prices are below average, but this doesn’t mean that you will not enjoy the food. Try the Broccoli Beef and Black Pepper Chicken. I also recommend teriyaki chicken and mushroom chicken. I still dream about the egg foo young this place has.
This place has pros and cons. It is located in a limited area. Alsо, customer service should be stepped up a notch. Nevertheless, the food is really good, and you will not regret experiencing this eatery in the world of Chinese restaurants in Vallejo.

3 Star
4380 Sonoma Blvd. #357, Vallejo, CA 94589, United States //+17075577785
I came here in the morning and had great lemonade. The place itself is not attractive, but the staff is very friendly and conversational. This made me come back for dinner and have Mongolian beef. My friends had garlic chicken wings and yang chow rice. Everything was served well and well worth it for the money.
You can choose between Chinese and Filipino food. Whatever you choose, it will melt in your mouth. This place has excellent cooks, and the result is high-quality, authentic Chinese food. The Salt and Pepper Chicken is very delicious, and the Chinese sausage fried rice is also.
Combining Chinese and Filipino restaurants gives you the best of Asian food in Vallejo.

Lucky Garden
860 Tuolumne St., Vallejo, CA 94590, United States //+17075523663
And the last place in my list of Chinese restaurants in Vallejo is Lucky Garden. This comfy place is a family restaurant in a peaceful environment. The service is fast, and the food is outstanding. I think if I had to choose which restaurant I would visit twice, my choice is Lucky Garden.
I ordered Combo fried rice and Cherry Chicken, which was crispy, fresh, piping hot, and delicious. The other day I had Broccoli Beef and Shrimp Chow Mein. On a third visit, spicy noodle soup and salt and pepper prawns.

I want to live here!!!
Next time when I visit this place, I will order Salt & Pepper Tofu since I managed to try it from my friend’s portion, and I was speechless.
The wait staff is attentive and friendly. The restaurant is clean. I can’t wait to come back and try everything on the menu!!
