Personally, I like the relaxing part before lunchtime, the strolling, walking around trying to catch every photogenic corner to take a photo of it, and then, in the middle of the day, you decide to be spoiled and  greeted by the inviting aromas of delicious food and the friendly chatter of other patrons.

We had an amazing lunch in Bar Harbor, a precious time that will always make me smile and be grateful for the food and people we met. 

Bar Harbor is a bustling and vibrant area situated along the waterfront of the city. It serves as a central hub for maritime activities, trade, and recreational pursuits.

Side Street Cafe is a charming eatery nestled on a quaint side street in the city. As tourists, we were drawn to its cozy and welcoming atmosphere.

This place exudes a relaxed vibe featuring an outdoor seating area adorned with colorful umbrellas and lush greenery. 

If you decide to eat inside, you will find a rustic interior with comfortable seating arrangements. 

I recommend their Mac and cheese and the best hot dog that was mouth-watering.

I was very satisfied with the food. It was outstanding food, and the margaritas are unbelievably good.

To satisfy your sweet tooth, Side Street Cafe has a selection of homemade desserts. These desserts could include options like freshly baked pies, cakes, cookies, or decadent brownies.

The menu of this restaurant is diverse and can suit anybody’s taste. Plenty of choice on the menu, but If I visit this place again, I will choose the Lobster Roll for my Bar Harbor lunch.

Located in the heart of the city, it offers a vibrant and bustling atmosphere. As we entered, we were greeted by friendly staff and the aroma of freshly prepared meals.

The menu at Lunch Bar Harbor boasts an array of options, ranging from classic comfort food to creative and international dishes. 

Whether you’re craving a juicy burger, a fresh seafood platter, or a flavorful vegetarian delight, this place has you covered. The portions are generous, ensuring you won’t leave hungry.

The lobster roll was magnificent. They were so good! Such a great combination of flavors, and they had a hefty portion of lobster. The clam chowder was peppery and delicious, and I thought I didn’t like chowders until then.

The Italian sandwich and hummus sandwich were also very nicely done, claimed others in our group.

The service was great and fun.

With all the endless nice words when it comes to this place,  basically, I’m saying go there for lunch in Bar Harbor.

Island Take Out

Island Take Out is a must-visit spot for tourists looking for a taste of local cuisine with a twist. We were one of them, and all I can say is this place really had our attention from the very first moment I walked inside. 

We sat along the water’s edge,  and we really enjoyed stunning views and a laid-back island atmosphere. 

The restaurant specializes in take-out options, allowing you to enjoy your meal on the go or find a cozy spot nearby to savor the flavors.

One of our group ordered the Pulled pork sandwich that was well-tenderized and had a good amount of sauce.

The lobster roll was very tasty, not overcooked, and excellent in every way.

My jerk chicken was slightly spicy and salty but really good. The lobster sandwich was good. It was a delicious culinary creation that showcases the delicate and flavorful meat of a lobster served in a sandwich format. 

Others had blackened haddock and beet salad.

Island Take Out is a great place with a variety of convenient and ready-to-eat food options for customers looking for quick meals.

Havana is a vibrant and lively restaurant that immerses you in the flavors and ambiance of Latin America while having lunch in Bar Harbor. 

We were captivated by its colorful décor, lively music, and energetic atmosphere. As people who love adventurous places, we easily felt  the traditional Cuban influences with a modern twist that created a unique and memorable dining experience.

The menu at Havana offers an extensive selection of Latin American dishes bursting with bold flavors. 

From succulent grilled meats to zesty ceviche, you’ll find an array of options to satisfy your culinary cravings.

We paired our meal with a refreshing mojito and a specialty cocktail for an authentic taste of Havana. This was recommended by our attentive servers, and it was definitely very good advice.

The food was amazing, the paella was very tasty, and we had incredible desserts!

The ribeye was fantastic with its tenderness, marbling, and rich flavor. 

The halibut was also very good and tasty. It had a delicate flavor and firm texture. All things considered, Havana is a great place for a casual Bar Harbor lunch.

Sweet Pea’s Farm Kitchen is a charming countryside eatery that celebrates farm-to-table dining. 

Located on the outskirts of town, it welcomes tourists with its rustic charm and picturesque surroundings. 

The restaurant is nestled amidst lush green fields and gardens, providing a tranquil and scenic setting.

At Sweet Pea’s Farm Kitchen, you can expect a menu filled with dishes made from locally sourced produce and ingredients.

WehHad a delicious veggie pizza topped with zucchini, cauliflower, and carrots. It had an excellent crust and the cheese was exceptional.

We had the oysters and they tasted heavenly good.  We also had roasted veggies, meatballs, and field greens.

We highly recommend this Bar Harbor restaurant to anyone driving through and looking for a place to stop for lunch!

Everyday Joe’s

Everyday Joe’s is a cozy and eclectic café that caters to locals and tourists seeking a relaxed and welcoming environment.

As we walked into this cute place, we knew that we would visit again. It is a popular spot to grab a cup of coffee, meet friends, or unwind with a good book. 

I really liked the interior. It is adorned with quirky decorations and comfortable seating, creating a cozy atmosphere. 

As tourists, we enjoyed a range of beverages at this friendly spot. 

We started with a lighter version of lunch. We ordered Caesar salad with crisp romaine lettuce, homemade croutons, and tangy dressing, a Mediterranean-inspired Greek salad with feta cheese, olives, and cucumbers,  and a refreshing summer salad with mixed greens, seasonal fruits, and a citrus vinaigrette. 

Then we continued with the delicious sandwiches, especially the recommended chicken Panini. 

For desserts, we had blueberry pancakes which were awesome! The coffee is locally ground and HOT!

And for those who love comfort food, Everyday Joe’s offers juicy burgers and crispy fries.

Great place and a must-stop when you are in Bar Harbor for lunch.
