Miami, or, as some call it, the “Magic City,” has a lot to offer to its visitors. Miami is famous for its divine beaches, non-stop nightlife, and pleasantly warm weather. Miami is also known for its mind-blowing skyline, enormous shopping malls, architecture, and luxury hotels.
In 1939, the mayor of Miami said, “This community has been described as ‘the Magic City’ because of its almost magical transformation, which seems to change people from ragged and weary into happy and contented citizens.”
Miami is best known for its nightlife, thanks to the South Beach scene. A barrier island against the Atlantic Ocean, South Beach is full of clubs that attract locals and tourists seven nights a week. There are plenty of local restaurants with great seafood, American burgers and pizza, Latin American dishes, and many other places to enjoy your stay in Miami.
We are here to focus on the Miami rooftop bars to help you choose the best option for a party, drinking, and eating, and to enjoy the best views from these Miami rooftop bars during your stay in this “Magic City.”

8 Best Miami Rooftop Bars
Copal
ROOFTOP, 50 NW 24th St., Miami, FL 33127, United States // +13057484540
A stylish rooftop bar in Miami, serving high street eats and craft drinks it is located in the heart of Wynwood. With cool Jamaican and Caribbean vibes, this Miami rooftop bar comes off as very summery and airy. The service is attentive, and the ambiance is very relaxed.
This is a perfect spot to enjoy a night out or gather with friends for a casual brunch on Sunday. The rooftop bar view is fantastic and perfect for taking pictures.
Of their signature cocktails, my favorite is the “Pez Loco Sangria,” made with various rums, strawberry, almond, pineapple, orange, and a rosé topper. It tastes like summer!
They do not offer much to eat, but their snacks are really delicious. Guacamole, Tuna Crudo, Crispy Brussels with salsa and goat cheese, quesadillas, mushroom tacos, and other light bites are available on the menu.

There is also a wide selection of beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages at this rooftop bar in Miami.
Sugar
788 Brickell Plaza #40, Miami, FL 33131, United States // +17868054655
Sugar is a chic cocktail bar atop the East Miami hotel with a breathtaking view featuring unique drinks and a tropical rooftop deck. The view is fantastic from this rooftop bar, as you can see the whole city, and the service is phenomenal.
Drinking decadence above the Miami skyline while snacking on fresh and creative sushi is quite the vibe. It feels like an exclusive party that we all have access to, although it is a little pricier than other places.
My personal favorite is the tartare tuna roll with spicy tuna, carrot, cucumber, and asparagus, topped with tobiko, and the crunchy salmon rolls with avocado and fried tempura topped with soy sauce and spicy mayonnaise. Still, there are many other sushi rolls to choose from.
For something sweet, try out the banana spring rolls with chocolate sauce, dark chocolate, mango, and snow sugar, or else one of their exclusive ice creams.
Last but not least, they have a lot of signature and classic cocktails. The “Butterfly Effect” with mezcal, aloe vera liqueur, vermouth, and citric acid is my number one! If you are looking for a rooftop bar in Miami, let Sugar be the place.
Rosa Sky
115 SW 8th St. 22nd Floor, Miami, FL 33130, United States // +17866281515
A vibrant Miami rooftop bar featuring cocktails and tapas, plus regular DJs on weekends and amusing panoramic city views makes this a go-to place. The view from the rooftop is perfect, and it’s actually not as hot up there as it is on the ground. There are plenty of areas with shade, which is so important in the Miami summer heat.
Rosa Sky has such a beautiful theme, pink and purple everywhere! The ambiance is really nice, and they have great music choicexs. I love the pink hue lights that really lit up the place.
We ordered the charcuterie plate, and the selection of cheeses was awesome, especially the Bleu cheese. The Miso Roasted Cauliflower was filling and served us pretty well. Rosa Sky Fries with Spanish Spice Crust, Parmesan Aioli, Rosa Aioli, and Chipotle Ketchup is so tasty and pairs excellently with the right cocktail.
ASTRA
2121 NW 2nd Ave., Miami, FL 33127, United States // +17866023449
Airy and modern Mediterranean-inspired rooftop restaurant, bar, and lounge, with buzzy DJs and cocktails, make ASTRA one of the best Miami rooftop bars. The service is amicable, the food menu is surprisingly extensive for a rooftop bar, and the drinks are simply gorgeous.
For a good breakfast or brunch, there is the classic egg benedict with a choice of lobster, crab, salmon, or avocado. Steak and eggs and an amusing oyster selection are also available.
There is a lot of Greek food on the menu, which is one of my favorite cuisines worldwide! Fried calamari and soft homemade “Spanakopita” (pie with truffles, feta, and parmesan cheese), grilled eggplant, lamb and beef dishes, and, of course, the Greek classic “Baklava” for dessert.
The cocktails I had were so refreshing and flavorful, decorated with edible flowers and made from fresh ingredients. You can also pair your oysters with a glass of prosecco to complete your experience at this Miami rooftop bar.
Terras
528 SW 9th Ave., Miami, FL 33130, United States // +13052041793
Terras is a hip Miami hotel rooftop bar featuring Latin American bites, cocktails, happy hours, and a terrace with a magnificent view of the city. The cocktails are refreshing and perfect for Miami’s June summer heat. I definitely recommend Terras; you will love the atmosphere and breathtaking views of the Brickell skyline.
The cocktails are perfectly balanced and taste phenomenal! My favorites are “Domino Park Old Fashioned” with Coconut Cartel rum, demerara, and chocolate bitters, and the “Garden G&T” with Gray Whale, East Imperial Tonic, and freshly picked herbs picked from the garden.
The food is fresh, colorful, and tasty. There is homemade guacamole, crispy maitake mushrooms, sweet corn pancakes, tacos, burgers, and fried chicken, which is completely enough to not drink your cocktails on an empty stomach.
Vista Restaurant
5020 NE 2nd Ave., Miami, FL 33137, United States // +13054057547
This rooftop bar in Miami is a chic, leafy eatery with an outdoor patio offering Italian-Latin-American dishes, cocktails, wine, and other beverages and one of the best sunset sessions with your friends and family.
I ordered about three different cocktails to taste. The hibiscus cocktail was nice and sweet, with hibiscus pearls, which were delicious. From their signature cocktails, I also recommend Valentine’s essence with Belvedere organic blackberry-lemongrass, Creme de Violette, lychee, and lemon juice.
There are many other beverages available on their menu, and I admire that, unlike most cocktail bars, they have a pretty extensive wine list, and you can get almost every kind of wine by the glass.
There is an impressive summer brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 pm to 4 pm, where they offer Mimosas, Aperol Spritz, and other classic refreshing cocktails. For eating, there is a pastry basket, salmon avocado toast, omelets, French toast, brisket benedicts, and other chef’s specials.
For lunch or dinner, try out the “Fusilli Tre Funghi Shitake” with porcini, portobello mushrooms, and creamy truffle sauce. I loved everything about this dish. The flavors are so perfectly combined that they keep me wanting more and give me a great reason to return to this rooftop bar in Miami.
Sky Yard
723 Lincoln Ln. N., Miami Beach, FL 33139, United States // +13059034076
A relatively new place established in 2020, Sky Yard is quickly becoming one of the most notable Miami rooftop bars. They have unique and vibrant cocktails inspired by Miami’s local ingredients and great ambiance.
The atmosphere is at the same time romantic, private, and clubby, with dimmed lights and lounge seating. The view is simply magnificent and perfect for taking photos with your friends.
There are many exclusive champagnes available on the menu, as well as crafted cocktails and other beverages. Everything is unique, delicious, and served with passion. In addition, they have absolutely all the classic cocktails supplemented with their own ingredients, making them even more exciting.
A hookah is also available in many different tastes to complete your night out. Make sure you get there before the sunset; you will love to watch it from this location!
Highbar Pool + Bar + Sky
1111 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33139, United States // +13055348455
What is better than a hot summer day spent in one of the best Miami rooftop bars than chilling with a cocktail by the pool? In this chic rooftop pool and lounge with panoramic views of the city, cabanas, and lush plants, you will feel the magic of the summer.
This place is an amazing getaway in the sky! They have excellent service, provide cabanas, bring your orders to where you lay, and they serve you by the pool. Although small, the pool is big enough to swim a lap. The staff here are kind and hard-working and make sure you do not need to lift a finger.
There is an all-day breakfast and brunch menu, which is perfect because you can relax and enjoy all day long without thinking about where to go next.
There are quick bites such as chips and guacamole with nachos, and for lunch, there is a fantastic lobster tail, a huge portion of chicken wings, steaks, salads, Mexican fried rice, enchiladas, and burritos. Their menu is solid for a rooftop bar in Miami, and all the food I tried tasted amazing.
The double stuffed burrito, with beans, corn, queso, cilantro lime rice, and Chihuahua cheese and filled with your choice of mushroom, grilled chicken, carnitas, carne asada, tequila lime shrimp, lobster, or Mahi Mahi, kept me full all day long.
For drinks, I went with their classic signature Margaritas, and my all-time favorite is definitely the one with strawberry and basil leaves.
