The Wok Chinese Cuisine

Reno is the biggest little city in the world, a nickname that perfectly captures its charm and excitement.  In this lovely city, you will find a real treasure when it comes to Chinese food, its roots, and a real opportunity to experience something new and exciting.

One of the most amazing restaurants we visited in Reno was the Wok Chinese Cuisine, a hidden gem that proves that this cuisine is very impressive in the heart of Reno.

Wok Chinese Cuisine is a casual Chinese restaurant located in the Silverado Shopping Center.

This place offers generous portions, friendly and efficient service, and a wide variety of dishes to choose from.

I started with their Crab Rangoon appetizer, which was perfectly crispy and filled with a creamy and flavorful crab mixture.

For the main course, we opted for their Mongolian Beef and Kung Pao Chicken. Both dishes were well-seasoned and had a nice balance of flavors—spicy, savory, and slightly sweet. The portion sizes were generous, making it great for sharing or leftovers.

Boiled fish with pickled veggies

Our group thoroughly enjoyed their extremely delicious walnut shrimp, seafood noodles, and fried rice.

But the ultimate highlight of the visit? Boiled fish with pickled veggies. It was a simple but flavorful dish. The fish is boiled until it is flaky and tender, and then it is served with a variety of pickled vegetables, such as cucumbers, onions, and carrots. It was really tasty.

The Wok Chinese Cuisine provides a modern and tasty twist on Chinese classics, making it a refreshing dining option in Reno.

The restaurant’s ambiance, friendly service, and flavorful dishes make it a solid choice for both casual and special occasions.

I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu.

For the main course, I opted for their signature dish, the San Francisco-style seafood stir-fry. The seafood was perfectly cooked, and the sauce had just the right balance of sweet and savory. The inclusion of fresh vegetables added a delightful crunch to the dish.

As appetizers, I had the Vietnamese Spring Rolls and Rare Beef Pho (Soup). The spring rolls were fresh, and you could taste the basil right away.

We also ordered pho, Walnut Shrimp, and Tofu Shrimp Char Siu hot pot. But the dish that defeated my heart was salt and pepper fish. The portions were large enough that we could all sample everything.
