When we decided to travel to St. Augustine, Florida, I was so excited that I didn’t sleep all night. I was picturing this city all day before the trip, which totally distracted me from doing my regular activities. 

St. Augustine, Florida, is a historic city located in northeastern Florida, in St. Johns County. It holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously inhabited European-established settlement in the continental United States.

As a true tourist, we walked a lot and were not always sticking to the plan, but we managed to do more things from our list. 

We visited Castillo de San Marcos. This iconic fort is one of the city’s most famous landmarks.  It served as a military fortress during the Spanish colonial period and later as a prison during the British and American occupations. Today, it is a National Monument and is open to the public as a museum.

We spent an interesting day with a lot of walking and learning about this amazing city. After finishing some activities we decided to have breakfast, a tasty, bite-sized breakfast with all regular items such as an omelet, pancakes, or waffles. 

At that moment, we knew. The goal was set up. We were going to have the best breakfast in St Augustine Florida, and have the pleasure of guiding through an amazing journey of tastes and cultural identities.

I especially loved the biscuits, which I could kill for.  Those small, round, and  slightly oval-shaped baked bread rolls with a golden-brown exterior. It is crisp and flaky, while the inside is soft, buttery, and moist.

The Blue Hen Café is a great place to go for a delicious and more than satisfying breakfast or lunch. 

The menu features a variety of classic Southern dishes, such as chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and, of course, biscuits and gravy. The café also offers a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options.

I recommend having Pumpkin Pancakes, Chicken Biscuits, and the Southern Omelet based on the reactions of the group.

I had the breakfast of my dreams at The Blue Hen Café.

I ordered the peanut butter banana French toast, which was absolutely delicious. The French toast was fluffy and flavorful, and the peanut butter and banana were the perfect toppings. I also ordered a side of grits, which were creamy and cheesy.

My overall experience at The Blue Hen Café was excellent. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was casual and inviting.

According to the great experience we had there, Georgie’s Diner specializes in authentic Greek cuisine, and their menu features a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.

Full Breakfast

Since we were really hungry and I am always striving to not skip breakfast, we had the Full Breakfast, and after we calmed down our buds, we ordered some extra sides to share.

The breakfast was perfectly cooked, including the fried bread.

Georgie’s Diner is located in the heart of St. Augustine’s historic district, making it a convenient place to stop for a meal while exploring the city.

Anastasia Kitchen is a popular breakfast restaurant in St. Augustine, Florida.  

We had the pleasure of having breakfast at this place. We had excellent food and service. 

We had the Anastasia Omelet and the French Toast. Both were delicious. The coffee was also very good.

This is a great place to go for breakfast. The food was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the 

French Toast

I recommend having Benedictine. It is a classic and savory spread or dip. It is known for its smooth, creamy texture and distinctive green color. Benedictine is primarily made from a combination of cucumbers and cream cheese, with additional ingredients to enhance its flavor and color. 

We wholeheartedly recommend having 2 Eggs 2 Bacon 2 Sausages 2 Pancakes If you want to enjoy  a conventional, but extraordinary, breakfast in St. Augustine.

I tried Texas toast, and I do recommend having it. It has a soft and tender interior with a slightly chewy texture. The crust, while still soft, can be a bit crisp due to the toasting process, but it was amazing. 

This is a great, cozy place for breakfast in St. Augustine. We enjoyed it very much, and the weather was great for eating outside.

Anastasia Kitchen is a great place to go for a delicious and satisfying breakfast. A great place for home-style food.

Farmhand Kchn and Coffee

Farmhand Kchn and Coffee is a coffeehouse offering locally roasted brews, breakfast, sandwiches and wraps, plus music and poetry. 

As someone who has great passion for a delicious cup of coffee and, at the same time, is very picky when it comes to this popular drink, I can say that this place has exceeded my expectations. It has great coffee, delicious food, and friendly staff. 

I recommend having the espresso and the cappuccino as excellent choices.

Farmhand Kchn and Coffee is a  place to go for a delicious cup of coffee and a bite to eat. 

Bagel

I ordered a Bagel with Cream Cheese; it was with various toppings like smoked salmon, tomato, and onion. Also, I recommend having a perfectly cooked Omelet, cooked with various fillings such as cheese, vegetables, and meats.

Do not miss having a Farmhand Bagel. It is slightly larger or thicker than traditional bagels, providing a hearty and satisfying appearance. It was very tasty, with a rustic and chewy texture. 

Presentation is just spot on. Do not forget to order waffles with a grid pattern with an interesting topping that will send you into a sugar coma, but I have nothing against that. I went to heaven with those waffles.

I had an amazing experience at Spot Cafe with its comfortable seating, tables, and  cozy nooks for more intimate conversations.

I praise the cafe for its delicious home-cooked food, fast and friendly service, and nice ambiance.

The ambiance is typically relaxed, making it an ideal spot for individuals looking for a peaceful place to work, friends catching up, or even a casual date.

The place has extensive coffee menus, featuring a range of coffee styles such as espresso, cappuccino, latte, and drip coffee. It also offers specialty coffee drinks like mochas, macchiatos, and flat whites.

I had the Southerner breakfast with biscuits and gravy, eggs, and home fries. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My friend had one of the breakfast specials – avocado toast with eggs and fruit.
