During our visit, we had the privilege of meeting the owner’s son, Estevan, as the owners themselves, Santiago and Victoria Morales, were taking a well-deserved break in Mexico. Their journey in Concord has been nothing short of remarkable.

What began as a humble family restaurant has blossomed into a multi-faceted enterprise, expanding into catering, and even acquiring the neighboring grocery store, complete with its own torterilla.

But that’s not all. This enterprising family has ventured into owning a warehouse and numerous entrepreneurial opportunities, creating meaningful employment opportunities for many in the local community.

Simple Dishes, Perfectly Executed

The beauty of Torterilla El Molino lies in its ability to achieve perfection in simplicity. With a menu that showcases “simple” Mexican dishes, they prove that sometimes, it’s the uncomplicated things that leave the most lasting impressions. During our visit, I savored the Taco Salad, a refreshing medley of tasty vegetables that satisfied both my appetite and craving for freshness.

My colleagues explored the menu further, enjoying an array of dishes like the chile rellenos plate, flavorful tacos, hearty burritos, soft and delectable tamales. No wonder this is one of the best restaurants in Concord CA.
