Who doesn’t enjoy a hearty breakfast? Breakfast is more than simply the start of the day; it sets the tone for the entire day.
Breakfast is an opportunity to let loose and indulge in anything you can think of.

And no trip to Hilton Head is complete without taking advantage of this fantastic brunch opportunity with family and friends.
In this article, I will feature eight Hilton Head restaurants that serve delectable breakfasts.
The Eight Best Hilton Head Breakfast Spots
Stacks Pancakes & More of Hilton Head
2 Regency Pkwy., Hilton Head Island, SC 29928, United States // +18433413347
This is the spot to go for Hilton Head breakfast. We came here around 8 a.m. on Saturday morning. A friendly crowd was already present.
Outside, it appears to be a modest space, yet within, it appears quite large. I assume they also have a breakfast buffet.
The coffee was the right temperature to drink, not too hot to burn your lips but just warm enough to melt the sugar. We went with the Southern Comfort breakfast. There is so much food.
Biscuits and gravy were delicious, as were chunky potatoes and eggs topped with bacon and chicken fingers. What a lovely setting. Reasonably priced for the quantity of food served. A must-visit for breakfast in Hilton Head!
Southern Coney And Breakfast
70 Pope Ave. # J, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928, United States // +18436892447
Southern Coney & Breakfast is a little restaurant, yet it serves some of the most wonderful Hilton Head breakfast.
The “Kitchen Sink,” which includes fried chicken, eggs, cheddar cheese, bacon, sausage gravy, tater tots, a biscuit, and coffee, is Southern Coney’s hallmark meal. Southern Coney has a lot to offer, including quick service and inexpensive costs.
I went for diversity and ordered the Kitchen Sink on a biscuit and a little stack of silver dollar pancakes. My friend chose a western omelet to be safe, and our food arrived quickly.
To be honest, the pancakes are stunning just to look at. I knew I should have ordered more right then and there, and I’m not sure why I didn’t. The lovely color and crisp edges begged for a gentle drizzle of butter and syrup.
When I finally took my first bite, there was no doubt that all other pancakes would pale in comparison. But unfortunately, I forgot about the remainder of my food, I forgot about sharing, and I forgot about my table manners.
I don’t want to eat anything else at Southern Coney because I intend to load myself with pancakes on every subsequent visit!
They even sell the mix!! So please do yourself a favor and visit this location while on the island! Pancakes to die for!
Watusi Cafe
71 Pope Ave. Suite E, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928, United States // +18436865200
Another serious contender for “best breakfast in Hilton Head” is Watusi. Watusi, regarded as a hidden gem, consistently wows visitors with its freshly prepared breakfast cuisine.
There is no urgency because breakfast is served at the Watusi Cafe all day. Breakfast sandwiches, seafood omelets, Belgian waffles with berries and whipped cream, and biscuits and gravy are all options. On the patio, there is even a menu for dogs!
I chose the sausage and American cheese breakfast sandwich. The egg was fresh and went well with the muffin, served on a lovely English muffin.
I also ordered a side of excellent hash browns. They tasted great. I’d highly advise trying this place out while looking for breakfast dining in Hilton Head!
Palmetto Bay Sunrise Cafe
86 Helmsman Way, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928, United States // +18436863232
On the south half of the island, the Palmetto Bay Sunrise Café offers something for everyone. This morning buffet has everything from French toast to burritos to crab cakes with Benedict eggs.
You’ll want to relax and take it easy when you eat a leisurely breakfast on the spacious porch that faces the south.
Everything on the large menu seemed delicious. We chose the oysters that were lightly battered and the corned beef hash. Both dishes were outstanding, and everything was done precisely so.
You can also take away a full breakfast at one of the best prices on the island. Then, take a picnic at the beach or eat at the kitchen counter on the porch.
Skull Creek Dockside
2 Hudson Rd., Hilton Head Island, SC 29926, United States // +18437853625
A trip to Hilton Head Island would be incomplete without a stop at Dockside. This restaurant not only boasts the best fish and view on the island, but it also has the best Hilton Head breakfast.
If you don’t trust me, try it for yourself. As soon as you step in, you can see why the name Dockside was chosen. Sitting there, you feel like you are in a house near a pier where fishermen gather at night.
Whether you sit inside or outside, the view from the restaurant is always beautiful. However, the view would be pointless unless the cuisine was exceptional. While everything on the evening menu is delicious, I believe the brunch menu is when the food really shines.
The Eggs Benedict is perhaps the best item on the menu. The Crab Cake Benedict comes in second. Never before has a toasted English muffin with poached eggs or crab cakes tasted so wonderful! With breakfast potatoes, you have the best brunch on Hilton Head Island.
Nectar Farm Kitchen
35-A Office Park Rd., Hilton Head Island, SC 29928, United States // +18436822337
Nectar Farm Kitchen, a newcomer to the south-end scene, is quickly becoming a favorite among locals and visitors. We’ve discovered that nothing on the breakfast menu can go wrong, although I do have a few favorites.
To begin, you won’t want to miss out on the “Sticky” Honey Bun, which is ideal for sharing or keeping all to yourself. This honey bun is a king’s delight! The soft-baked dough is wonderful, especially when topped with Horsecreek Apiaries’ Honey Glaze.
Combine that with some Smothered Tater Tots, and you’ve got yourself the start of a very wonderful Sunday, Funday, or any day!
My friend ordered something lighter, Green Eggs and Ham! This grown-up take on a Dr. Seuss favorite features scrambled eggs, seasoned potatoes, Salsa Verde, Farmer’s Cheese, ham, and tortillas.
If you are looking for variety in your breakfast on Hilton Head, this is your place. It’s one of the best Hilton Head breakfast spots.
Kenny B’s French Quarter Cafe
70 Pope Ave., Hilton Head Island, SC 29928, United States // +18437853315
You’ll feel at home with Cajun and New Orleans specialties like beignets, fried goldfish, and crawfish dishes. This Creole restaurant serves classic Hilton Head breakfast indoors, outside, and via take-out.
This is the most distinctive and delectable Louisiana-style cuisine you can find anywhere. It’s a little, off-the-beaten-path spot near Coligny and Celebration Park. Fantastic food, service, and an exciting décor featuring everything Georgia Bulldog and New Orleans!
My friends and I both had the shrimp and grits while also splurging on other traditional Cajun fares like jambalaya, shrimp étouffée, fried catfish, and beignets.
The wonderfully seasoned shrimp served over creamy grits was more than enough to satisfy. The shrimp and grits were some of the best I’ve ever tasted.
Come for the best Cajun food in Hilton Head; stay for the entertaining décor and the welcoming staff!
Java Burrito
1000 William Hilton Pkwy. Suite J6, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928, United States // +18438425282
Only Java Burrito Co. combines a coffee shop with a Mexican grill in Hilton Head. Since it first debuted in 2013, this restaurant has attracted a devoted following because of its distinctive morning burrito bar.
With your choice of eggs, bacon, queso, and much more, these burritos are a must-have on any trip. Gourmet coffee produced with locally roasted beans and organic milk is also available.
The concept of the burrito and coffee bar was fantastic; extremely clever. I ordered a burrito bowl filled with the fresh, locally caught Mahi Mahi that day.
I ordered an iced coffee with creme brûlée and oat milk. The clothing was also really distinctive, so I purchased a cap. I simply adored the laid-back ambiance, delicious meal, and excellent coffee! Definitely worth trying!
