17 Must-Try Restaurants in Decatur Square, GA
No. 246
129 E. Ponce de Leon Ave., Decatur, GA 30030, the United States // +16783998246
The equally hardworking chefs Ford Fry and Drew Belline opened No. 246 in Decatur’s downtown business district. The restaurant serves dishes made with Italian culinary methods and local ingredients from the surrounding area.
This is a classic Italian eatery amongst the restaurants in Decatur Square that makes us nostalgic for the simpler times that inspired the cooks.
For my entrée, I chose the No. 246 meatball, and for dessert, I chose the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, Chianti, and Chocolate Budino. The broccoli and spaghetti Pomodoro that my friend ordered. Everything was mouthwatering.

The wine was delicious and light, which was a pleasant break from my regular Malbec. I eventually ordered two glasses.
In your mouth, the meatball melted. I’m unsure how the spaghetti were spicy because there were no pepper flakes.
The Pomodoro was smooth and creamy. I mean, everything was perfect. The chefs in that small kitchen did an outstanding job. You should give it a shot!

Split the hand-cut pommes frites paired with any two sauces, from garlic aioli to smoked jalapeno mayo, with your friends. You’ll be battling it out for the final fry!
Peach-glazed lamb ribs, seafood stew, and pan-seared fish are among the main courses. Small meals, such as grilled summer sausages or steamed mussels, are also available. The desserts are delectable, with the oatmeal cherry cream pie being one among them.
A must-try is their drink menu, which features innovative and seasonal drinks. Even better, there’s bocce ball!
Take a seat on their porch under the strings of Edison lights and eat meals with sides like duck fat, spring onions, and corn grits. It’s no surprise that this is one of the best restaurants in Decatur Square. We wouldn’t be shocked if you returned the next night after a few helpings.
