The 7 Best Main Street Grapevine Restaurants

Napoli’s Italian Kitchen & Market

309 S. Main St., Grapevine, TX 76051, United States // +18173100385

Napoli’s Italian Kitchen is a casual, family-run restaurant in Grapevine serving pizza and traditional pasta dishes in addition to sweets like candies and gelato.

The fruition of Brett and Lisa Kinzel’s dream is Napoli’s Italian Café. They came to Grapevine in 2001 to have equal commute options (his to Ft. Worth, hers to Dallas), but they quickly fell in love with the neighborhood’s Main Street and its charming small-town atmosphere.

Their objective was to one day create their own restaurant during the more than 15 years they spent working in the corporate sector and the culinary industry.

They determined that Main Street Grapevine was the ideal location for this and that they would seize the opportunity if it ever presented itself.

After some time had gone, the former Levvitt Drug Store presented itself as an opportunity. Lisa and Brett concluded that this was the fortunate occurrence they had been waiting for after the store closed.

They established Napoli’s Italian Café a year later, in May 2004, just in time for Main Street Days.

This place is well known for its amazing pizza and pasta, so we’re starting the menu reviews with their beautiful Fettuccini Bolognese, a creamy pomodoro and meat sauce with Italian sausage.

The Grilled Cheese and Tomato Basil Soup is also great to start with if you want something lighter in the beginning. It is served along with cheddar and mozzarella on fresh bread.

Main Street Grapevine Restaurants: Napoli’s Italian Kitchen & Market Tomato Basil Soup

The Penne Margherita is their version of Margherita, and it is made of cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, garlic, and EVOO; so good.

If you like dishes with provolone on top, go for their Lasagna Napolitano, made with sweet ricotta, meat sauce, and garlic and topped with provolone.

Their sandwiches are also amazing; they have plenty of options here too.

A few highlights from this section are Napoli’s Chicken Sandwich, made with chicken, LTO, provolone, and pesto aioli on ciabatta. Try the Chicken Parmesan Sub, breaded chicken, marinara, and provolone.

Their Gorgonzola Wedge Salad is made of a romaine wedge, gorgonzola dressing, cherry tomatoes, and crisp pancetta. The Greco-Roman is made with sweet peppers, red onion, olives, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, mixed greens, feta cheese, and Greek feta dressing.

And from the pizzas, I’d recommend trying some of these top four, HAWAIIAN, with spicy capicola, pineapple, and sweet peppers, or the BBQ CHICKEN, made with white cheddar,  roasted corn relish, sweet red onion, and BBQ sauce everywhere in between. The other two are their Quattro Formaggi, which has a ricotta base, fresh mozzarella, fontina,  and provolone, and LISA’S pizza, made with sausage, black olives, and mushrooms.

With this variety, Napoli’s is one of the must-try Main Street restaurants in Grapevine.

Tolbert’s Restaurant & Chili Parlor

423 S. Main St., Grapevine, TX 76051, United States // +18174214888

This venue represents a historic expertise in chili; they also serve steaks, Southwestern food, and present live music in a relaxed setting. The world-famous novel “A Bowl of Red” by Frank X. Tolbert, which he wrote 50 years ago, was inspired by his unwavering love of chili.

In 1967, he established the Terlingua Championship Chili Cook-Off, and in 1976, he teamed up with son Frank 2 to launch the first Tolbert’s Restaurant in Dallas.

Daughter Kathleen began assisting with management in 1977. In 2006, Kathleen and her husband, Paul Ryan, decided to move Tolbert’s to Grapevine’s historic Main Street.

Tolbert’s Restaurant & Chili Parlor continues the legacy by serving traditional southwestern fare, including our famous Bowl of Red, which is made according to a recipe created by Frank X. Tolbert and his son.

Starting with the entrees, their Donkey Tails are one of the standouts. It is two all-beef franks wrapped in a tortilla, with cheese, and deep fried. Their Torpedoes are spicy chicken, cheese-stuffed, breaded, and fried with jalapeno peppers; the dish is creamy, hot, and crispy.

Taco Salad served in a crispy taco shell is also featured on the menu. It is made with Monterrey jack and cheddar cheeses, fresh guacamole, sour cream, and salsa, with chicken breast or spicy taco meat.

Tolbert's Restaurant & Chili Parlor Taco Salad

Another refreshing salad is their Cobb Salad, made with lettuce, tomato, avocado, bacon, blue cheese crumbles, and a hard-boiled egg.

Their salads are made only with fresh ingredients bought from the farmers’ market. Their Sampler Platter includes donkey tails, breaded wings, onion rings, torpedoes, and fried zucchini, making it a nice option as a shareable snack.

Fried Chicken or Cheeseburger Sliders are three little sliders made with chipotle mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion and make another tasty shareable option.

And the Fish Tacos that can be fried or grilled are corn tortillas, cabbage, pico de gallo, and chipotle tartar sauce are unforgettable.

They also make Stuffed Baked Potato that has brisket or chili with cheese, butter, and sour cream; its so good! They also have a children’s menu section where you can easily choose items for the little ones.

And to top off the experience, they have an incredible Key Lime Pie and a very nice Chocolate Mousse Cake.

If you want good, old-fashioned American food at a Grapevine Main Street Restaurant, Tolbert’s is your place.

Farina’s is delighted to be the place where friends congregate and the restaurant works to create a warm environment for everyone. Starting with the appetizers, the Bruschetta is served as a flatbread with a special blend of basil and sundried pesto and topped with fresh spinach and diced tomatoes. It is really good.

The Cheese Plate is a great option for a sharable starter since it has assorted cheese and crackers served with grapes, olive tapenade, and a pesto aioli sauce. You can additionally add assorted meats.

The Farina’s Italian Salad is a beautiful mix of field greens, pepperoni, green olives,

artichokes, kalamata olives, pepperoncini peppers, and Italian cheese served with Farina’s

Then the Greek salad is incredibly refreshing since it is made of romaine lettuce tossed in extra virgin olive oil and red wine vinegar, topped with diced tomatoes, kalamata olives, pepperoncini peppers, and feta cheese.

For seafood lovers, highlights here are the Shrimp Scampi, made with succulent shrimp sautéed in a garlic butter sauce. Their Salmon Piccata is pan-seared salmon in a creamy lemon sauce, topped with capers, artichokes, and fresh mushrooms. It is served with asparagus and mashed potatoes.

Fresh seafood, steaks, prime rib, and specially developed seasonal menu items are just a few of Chef/Owner Rena Frost’s mouthwatering creations.

They are pleased to provide fresh fish options, their Signature Mac’s Salad, Chairman Reserve and Strauss grass-fed steaks, slow-roasted prime rib, and more.

They collaborate with neighborhood businesses and individuals to offer seasonal specials and are frequently made using ingredients grown or raised nearby.

With locations in Arlington and Grapevine, Mac’s is a family-run restaurant that has been providing great service to Tarrant County since 1987.

Burrata and Tomato Salad is a great start to this journey. It consists of greens, balsamic reduction, and grilled bread. They have amazing Grilled Sea Scallops with avocado-corn relish and served with blue corn tortillas.

Ahi Tuna Poke is the best poke bowl ever’ It is made with avocado and Pea Shoots and Housemade Fresh Corn Tamale with Shrimp. Korean Mandu is a beef and vegetable dumpling that is really good and served with soy and sriracha dipping sauces.

Their Hanger Steak should be served medium-rare to medium, and has chimichurri sauce and baked potato or steak fries, and is really good.

Sandwiches are another wonderful part of the menu. The California Chicken Sandwich is made with pico de gallo and avocado on a Cuban roll, and the French Dip is made with sliced roast beef, Swiss cheese, au jus, and also on a Cuban roll. They are my absolute faves!

Big Fish Seafood Grill and Bar

414 S. Main St., Grapevine, TX 76051, United States // +18177744497

This is one of the best Main Street Grapevine Restaurants that give a vibe of a cozy cafe with seafood and many Cajun selections, cocktails, and regular live music.

All of the customers are treated like family at Big Fish Seafood Bar and Grill. They like socializing with both new and recurring guests in a homey atmosphere.

When you eat at Big Fish, you can expect to be satisfied and have a good time, whether you’re enjoying a great fish dinner, catching up with a buddy at the bar, or throwing a party in our exclusive event area.

If you are eating here, you love seafood, so I have some recommendations for you for the top dishes to try here. From the Big Fish starters, there are plenty of tasty options to choose from, but it really depends on the person’s taste.

But starting off with a dozen fried Oysters or some Popcorn Shrimp served with remoulade sauce never hurt anybody. They also have a Jumbo Buffalo Shrimp that is the biggest shrimp out there, tossed in their delicious homemade Buffalo sauce.

Their Seafood Quesadillas are amazing and made of a large flour tortilla with cilantro pesto, pico de gallo, cheese, and tasty sautéed shrimp, served with a pesto aioli sauce.

Their Shrimp and Crab Leg Platter is a great shareable option for two and consists of a pound of steaming boiled shrimp and three crab clusters, andouille sausage, new potatoes, and corn on the cob.

Incredible Fish and Chips is also available on their menu, made of two beer-battered cod fillets served with seasoned waffle fries and three hush puppies.

Broccoli Shrimp Alfredo is one of the best dishes here. It is made with Shrimp (sautéed or blackened) with broccoli, mushrooms, and onions in a creamy alfredo sauce served over linguine. So juicy and delicious!

The Coconut Shrimp Salad Six is an incredibly tasty one and is made of coconut shrimp over a bed of mixed greens, with Thai peanut dressing on the side.

To finish with the flavorful meal, get their Bread Pudding with Whiskey Cream Sauce and enjoy till the very end.

This is one of my favorite Main Street Grapevine Restaurants and the seafood is heaven here!

The lovely sparrow, known in French as PIAF, sings ardently for the friends he has made all around the world.

They opened Piaf in Grapevine as a sister establishment to Main Streets’ Chez Fabien because they care deeply about the city and have a passion for exceptional cuisine from all around the world.

Dino’s Steak and Claw House

342 S. Main St. Suite 200, Grapevine, TX 76051, United States // +18174883100

Our last choice is a stylish, bi-level restaurant in a former bank, serving chops and seafood to piano accompaniment. The traditional “surf and turf” dish is revived at Dino’s Steak and Claw House restaurant in Grapevine, Texas, along with a wide selection of other seafood, steak, and chicken dishes.

This charming restaurant places its black granite bar area front and center in the former bank structure it has occupied along the main thoroughfare for many years.

Here you can listen to and enjoy live performances by neighborhood pianists presented on their lovely grand piano. Additionally, you can find the beautiful art of numerous modern local artists.

Horseradish Steamed Crab Claws made with herb butter and lemon, and a Shrimp Cocktail that has Jumbo shrimp in a traditional cocktail sauce are my picks to start with here.

Then their magical greens are pretty fresh and crispy. They have a great Chop Salad made with tomato, cucumber, red onion, and heart of palm in herbed feta cheese vinaigrette, which gives it a great aftertaste.

The Texas Beef Steak Tomato is another good one, made with gorgonzola cheese, shaved red onion, and herb olive oil dressing.

The Beef Medallions are delicious and made with tarragon béarnaise sauce and raspberry coulis.

Dino’s Steak and Claw House Beef Medallions

Excellent seafood is prepared in this venue, starting from their Atlantic Salmon served over asparagus with potato gnocchi with tomato and champagne sauce; amazing.

Their Dino’s Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna is crispy and creamy at the same time, served over Pad Thai noodles with vegetables and a  creamy Wasabi sauce.

The Scallop Risotto is a highlight here for those who appreciate a nicely prepared risotto in one of the best Main Street Grapevine Restaurants.

And if you want to try something totally unique, go for their sides along with your dish and combine it with some of their Garlic Spinach, Sauteed Mushrooms, or Creamed Corn with Shrimp.
