Since 1977, the scent of Italian herbs and spices has filled Alfonso’s kitchen and dining area. The proprietor continues to produce the sauces every morning, but the restaurant is now in the capable hands of his daughter, Marie Barbee.
The new facility has a considerably larger kitchen and dining space and the same delicious pizza, pasta, and salad dishes. That’s excellent news for the numerous people who come to this historic Decatur eatery for lunch every day.
Lunch specials, in particular, are a fantastic value. On Tuesdays, I can personally recommend the Spaghetti Bake. It costs $6.50 and includes garlic bread. It’s fantastic.
You can even build your own pizza, calzone it, or order one of the pasta-heavy entrees. Everything is delicious, but reserve room for dessert. It will be difficult to resist cannoli, cheesecake, or Coca-Cola cake. If you’re looking for the best amongst the Italian restaurants in Decatur AL, this is the place.

The pizza here was absolutely delicious! We ordered the house specialty pizza with traditional crust. The toppings were delicious and fresh, and the crust was delicious and crunchy!
We also had a side salad, which was delicious and fresh. The service was excellent, and our server was attentive to our every need.
The prices were reasonable for what you got. We will definitely return when we are in the area, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious pizza!

Marco’s Pizza is an excellent choice for Italian cuisine. Marco’s Pizza has been offering great and genuine Italian cuisine to Decatur consumers since 1987.
They offer a huge menu filled with pizza, pasta, salads, and other foods. Their staff is friendly, professional, and efficient, and their service is exceptional.
Their primary focus is on food quality rather than quickness, which I believe is commonly overlooked in restaurants.
I got The Philly, one of their specialty pizzas, topped with melty white cheese sauce and packed high with succulent, excellent steak, mushrooms, sliced green peppers, onions, and three kinds of cheese! It was divine. My taste buds were delighted!
My friend ordered a sub Chicken Club sandwich, which included grilled chicken, bacon, tomatoes, and three types of cheese. He said it was one of the best sub sandwiches he’d ever had!
It was a lovely and delectable experience. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy delicious Italian food and pizza!

Francesca’s Italian Restaurant is all you’d expect from a neighborhood Italian restaurant. The menu is extensive, the cuisine is excellent, and the ambiance is charmingly traditional.
Garlic knots were the first thing we had, and I had to hold myself back from devouring them before our main course arrived.
So, we tried to conserve space for the lunch that we gratefully shared, which consisted of a trio of spaghetti servings that we quickly devoured.
Our waiter convinced us that a visit to Francesca’s wouldn’t be complete without a serving of Tiramisu, and it didn’t take much to convince me to have dessert. It was a fantastic idea! However, we had to be rolled out of there. We were completely filled!
Overall, Francesca’s was fantastic. It’s an absolute must-try!

Josie’s is conveniently located across the street from the Princess Theatre, making it ideal for a date night that includes supper and a live performance or a classic film viewing, all while just needing to find one parking spot.
Josie’s serves meals Tuesday through Sunday, as well as Sunday brunch. It is operated by the same couple as Simp McGhee’s.
They went with a Mediterranean menu at Josie’s, and the restaurant’s name was inspired by a song by the rock band Steely Dan.
You can also order pizza, spaghetti, wraps, salads, paella, tacos, falafel, chicken shawarma, nachos, tiramisu, limoncello martini, and other less unusual dishes offered at the restaurant. Avocado toast, eggs Benedict, and chicken and waffles are brunch favorites.
