The Ten Best Places to Eat Breakfast in Orange Beach
Breakfast in Orange Beach
Tacky Jack’s Orange Beach
27206 Safe Harbor Dr., Orange Beach, AL 36561, United States // +12519814144
Tacky Jack’s is a beachfront seafood restaurant and bar in Orange Beach that serves breakfast, lunch, supper, and cocktails. For the past 38 years, the eatery has been a favorite hangout for residents. In addition, it provides a view of the Perdido Pass Bridge.
Hearty staples including biscuits and gravy, the dawn egg plate, and breakfast sandwiches are available starting at 7 a.m. There are also Wheelhouse Pancakes with nuts or strawberries, whipped cream, omelets, and shrimp and cheese grits.
The blackened crawfish po’ boy is fantastic. Every bite was bursting with flavor, which was elevated by the tangy remoulade sauce!
Although my companion enjoyed her chicken sandwich, she felt envious of our friend’s bacon cheeseburger. If you don’t like seafood, it’s a terrific substitute.
The peanut butter pie was a delicious way to end this satisfying lunch. It was a delightful treat that I made sure to take my time eating to savor every morsel, from its creamy texture to the chocolate shell.
The personnel provided outstanding customer service. Despite the intense heat, our server and her food runners gave it their all to make sure we were comfortable.
I would absolutely advocate visiting this place to experience a unique breakfast in Orange Beach!
Cafe Beignet
25405 Perdido Beach Blvd., Orange Beach, AL 36561, United States // +12519812711
Nothing surpasses Café Beignet in Orange Beach when you want a quick breakfast, and a sweet tooth is driving your breakfast decision. But have you ever enjoyed biting into a puff of powdered sugary bliss? If not, you’ve been missing out.
You’ll be perplexed where these sweet treats have been all your life. $12 for a dozen. The vanilla pudding-filled beignets come with chocolate syrup on top, but you can also request them plain and dusted with confectioners’ sugar. To burn off your sugar rush after breakfast, make a plan to go outside!
Purchase them hot, then consume them hot! The best beignets are those that have just been taken out of the fryer and covered in powdered sugar. These pillowy treats are what a breakfast in Orange Beach is made of!
Ruby Slipper Cafe
24151 Perdido Beach Blvd., Orange Beach, AL 36561, United States // +12518007470
A brunch menu available all day long at The Ruby Slipper Cafe is based on New Orleans fare. This Cajun-style diner offers a wide selection of inventive cocktails, all created to order with fresh ingredients. For foodies, The Ruby Slipper is a must-try.
The Ruby Slipper Café is the best place to go if you enjoy eggs benedict. There are six excellent and distinctive eggs benedicts on the menu. Choose the Peacemaker, which allows you to select two flavors, especially if you’re like me and can’t determine which is your favorite.
Of course, the menu also features a variety of other delicious items if an egg benedict isn’t what you’re in the mood for.
Our waiter gave us numerous wonderful and tasty choices for what to have, and she was right every time. The ideal appetizers for our brunch were the French toast pieces, candied bacon, and the most incredible fried green tomatoes I have ever eaten in my entire life.
I ultimately chose the fried chicken sandwich for my dinner, and the serving size was enormous. However, the sandwich was delicious, and although I was sorry I couldn’t eat it, let me just say that it was big!!
The restaurant was quite clean, and everyone was very friendly. I do advise you to pack a sweater because, although it was a mild, overcast morning when we went, their air conditioner sprays arctic air, which I’m sure is fantastic in the hot summer months. Overall, if you are considering a vacation to Orange Beach or Gulf Shores, I would highly recommend stopping here for a great breakfast in Orange Beach.
City Donut
Publix Super Market, Orange Beach, AL 36561, United States // +12519813688
I agree that City Doughnut is the top-rated donut shop in Alabama. This bakery offers all the traditional varieties in addition to filled doughnuts, donuts with candy toppings, and more. So pick up a dozen to keep in your vacation rental, and don’t forget to pick up some DeLuna Brand coffee to pair with these tasty goodies.
The croissant there is the greatest I’ve ever had. It has a donut-like icing but is fluffy and light. While we were there, we tried several. The cinnamon pull and apple fritter portions were both fantastic.
The doughnuts are also excellent. Even though I generally dislike cake donuts, theirs are fantastic. The chocolate cake variety was one of the greatest donuts I’ve ever had. There are kind and friendly girls working there as well. We returned every day for the remainder of the week we were in town after going on the first day of our trip. Definitely one of the best breakfast in Orange Beach.
Breakfast at the Wharf Orange Beach
Another Broken Egg Cafe
25910 Canal Rd. K, Orange Beach, AL 36561, United States // +12519817780
Not your normal breakfast spot, this one. You’ll adore the inventive dishes and fresh ingredients. Great coffee, breakfast favorites, seasonal creations, and sensible selections are all available at Another Broken Egg (healthy options).
You can also request children’s, allergy-friendly, or gluten-free menus. The “Floridian” omelet with lump crab meat was what I ordered. It was fantastic. The “Hey Lucy” was what my friend ordered, and he too liked it. A cold brew coffee was also provided to me, and it was among the greatest I’ve ever had. Most of the time, coffee is too strong for me. It was flawless.
If you’re planning to start your day with biscuit beignets, eggs benedicts, or gourmet omelets, then Another Broken Egg is the place to eat breakfast in Orange Beach!
Brick and Spoon – Orange Beach
24705 Canal Rd., Orange Beach, AL 36561, United States // +12519817772
The Brick and Spoon chain has restaurants in Alabama, Louisiana, and beyond. Everyone can find something they like at this restaurant, which serves all the popular breakfast and brunch fare. Of course, the grownups must also scan the menu for custom Bloody Marys.
Shrimp and Grits at the restaurant are difficult to resist. This dinner will satisfy you and a companion, or you may ask for a to-go box and store the leftovers for lunch.
When the server arrives with a huge dish of grits made from fire-roasted corn and topped with Gulf shrimp, a poached egg, bell peppers, onions, house garlic, and cream sauce, be prepared with a fork.
Did you know breakfast should come with dessert, too? It does at Brick and Spoon. The Bananas in Pajamas is a favorite for kids and kids-at-heart with its crispy banana eggrolls drizzled in foster sauce.
BuzzCatz Coffee & Sweets
25689 Canal Rd. Suite A, Orange Beach, AL 36561, United States // +12519802899
This eccentric store sells ice cream, pastries, breakfast foods, coffee drinks, and even coffee drinks. This enjoyable restaurant, with its vibrantly colored furnishings, is the ideal location for a quick breakfast before going to the beach. The establishment has weekly breakfast specials, locally roasted coffee, and handcrafted pastries.
BuzzCatz is more than just a cheap bakery. The restaurant offers light lunch meals to eat in or take out daily and daily breakfast deals. With a name like BuzzCatz Coffee & Sweets, I advise ordering a cup of their freshly roasted coffee and a pastry. Ask them about the origin of the name when you visit! It is great to hear this humorous anecdote in person.
So, If you’d like to taste the best coffee in Alabama, folks, stop here! Look no further! Fresh brewed. Fresh beans. They will gladly make it with a smile, hot or iced, whatever your pleasure. Now on to the food offerings. This is a hard one because everything looks and smells out of this world in this place!
We settled on a cinnamon roll with extra cream cheese frosting, blueberry muffin, and a vegetable eggs cheese biscuit. The warm cinnamon roll and muffin were enjoyable for the taste buds.
These biscuits were exquisitely executed. Soft, buttery, warm, and flaky are words that come to mind when describing this dessert. You must not pass these up when you choose a spot for your breakfast in Orange Beach.
The Southern Grind Coffee House at the WHARF
4751 Main St. #116, Orange Beach, AL 36561, United States // +12519233265
The Southern Grind is a spot that offers a wide selection of breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
We came here for breakfast and had the spinach and mushroom scramble, which was absolutely delicious. Moreover, the coffee (iced white mocha) was smooth but not too sweet and had the perfect kick to start my day. The interior decor is beautiful; the staff was friendly and pleasant.
It’s always such a pleasure eating here. The food is consistently excellent, I never had a bad meal, and the coffee is delicious too. Definitely one of the best breakfast in Orange Beach.
Best Breakfast in Gulf Shores
Sunliner Diner
100 E. 2nd Ave., Gulf Shores, AL 36542, United States // +12519376590
The comfortable diner-style restaurant, Sunliner Diner, will take you back to the 1950s. Enjoy a great chicken and waffle benedict, a dawn biscuit and gravy, or avocado toast while listening to rock and roll. Furthermore, breakfast is available all day long, so there is no rush!
This diner has the best atmosphere I’ve ever experienced. The jukebox, the milkshake bar, and the decorations, which included an automobile booth in the middle of the restaurant, all contributed to the cohesiveness of this setting. In addition, the waiters wore dresses and outfits inspired by the 1950s.
You actually feel as though you’ve traveled through time. Because I’m a simple man, I chose the triple grilled cheese and fries, a strawberry malt, and a banana split. All 10/10. Huge hamburgers are available. They also provide copious amounts of cake and apple pie. Yes, this place is expensive, but it is entirely worthwhile.
Sassy Bass Amazin’ Grill
5160 AL-180, Gulf Shores, AL 36542, United States // +12519751010
Sassy Bass Amazin’ Grill is the place to go for a hearty, homemade breakfast. Their dishes are not complicated, which is why they are so filling.
In reality, take a plate and head to the breakfast buffet, which features classic classics and newer options. The proprietor is a devout fan of the delicious porridge cooked with grilled steak, pork, and oatmeal.
The Western Omelet, which is made with toast, home potatoes, cured ham, onion, and green pepper, is another of my faves at this Gulf Shores eatery. You go to a place like Sassy Bass to immerse yourself in the culture there. Meet residents with fascinating tales to share, and you might get some insider tips for an unforgettable trip to Gulf Shores!
The summer months can be hectic at one of the few eateries on the Fort Morgan peninsula that caters to the beach houses and condos. Be tolerant. Talk to someone and unwind. You’re on vacation, and it’s time for your Gulf Shores breakfast in Orange Beach!
