They provide a sizable, authentic menu. After much thought, I decided to have two appetizers and a hot beverage.
I decided to eat the pickled herring toast and Dutch fries. Both dishes arrived at their proper temperatures and were served rather quickly.
The combo of chilled pickled herring, onions, pesto, and arugula over warm, crunchy bread was excellent. It was attractively presented and simple to consume without creating a mess. The taste was excellent.
Although the herring was too fishy, the dish’s flavor was delightful and complemented the other ingredients.
The Dutch fries were outstanding. Savory and crunchy. It was also nice to drink a Thai coconut chai on a cold day.
Overall, the restaurant was clean and comfortable, the food was excellent, and the service was wonderful and attentive. Despite being fairly open inside, it feels homey.

We ordered simple breakfast items. The hash browns were crunchy, just how they were supposed to be, and the eggs were cooked to order.
According to my friend, the bacon had the ideal balance of salt and smoke. Although they were likely purchased from a restaurant supplier rather than being hand-formed or freshly prepared, the sausage patties, biscuits, and gravy were nevertheless delicious.
The coffee was also flavorful, hot, and not overpowering. Also, they had delicious sourdough toast that we really enjoyed.
Overall, this was an excellent diner experience.

Cedars South

This restaurant, located in a strip mall, is one of my favorite restaurants which offers the best breakfast in Springfield, featuring pancakes, omelets, and other American staples, as well as hot and cold beverages.
The locomotive-themed interior makes this diner a culinary standout, stimulating your sense of sight. Exciting railroad signs and metallic tube decor are hanging on those flawless walls.
Your visual experience in the dining hall will undoubtedly be one you’ll never forget, thanks to the enormous train mural that occupies the entire wall.
We both had a different omelet with various toppings and ordered soft drinks. I think we received our meal rather quickly—I’d guess there was a ten-minute wait, which surprised me, given how busy the restaurant was.
The omelets were excellent, and their white sausage gravy had the ideal creamy consistency.
In all honesty, I was shocked by how affordable the meal was—just $35.89 for two omelets, one sausage, one western, one special—I think it was the ham—along with biscuits and gravy and two pieces of bread.
