Foode
900 Princess Anne St, Fredericksburg, VA 22401, United States // +15404791370
Where do I even begin with FOODE? Nestled in the heart of historic downtown Fredericksburg, this gem opened its doors back in 2011 with a simple yet passionate ethos—community.
You feel it the moment you walk in. The welcoming smiles, rustic ambiance, and that distinct hum of people genuinely enjoying their time.
I sat on their charming patio, although the option to dine inside an old bank vault was pretty tempting too. Yeah, you read that right—an actual bank vault! FOODE calls the Historic National Bank Building its home, adding an extra layer of coolness to the whole experience!
Let’s talk food, shall we? Their farm-to-table American meals are no joke. My friends and I kicked things off with their wings, which were just the right amount of crispy and juicy. For the main event, I had the Duck Two Ways while my friend opted for the Pork Chops. Every bite was an adventure, not to mention the presentation—it was “Top Chef” caliber.
And get this, they also serve breakfast! It’s the ideal spot for that morning business meeting or a breakfast date with someone special. The service? Exceptional. The staff was friendly and attentive, elevating the entire dining experience.
But what really sealed the deal for me was the sense of love poured into everything. They source the best local ingredients and their talented team puts their heart into every dish.
No wonder they’ve grown, even opening a hip sibling spot called Mercantile. If you’re in Fredericksburg, trust me, you don’t want to miss out on FOODE.
