The 7 Best New Restaurants in Springfield MO
Split Social Kitchen
3027 E. Sunshine St., Springfield, MO 65804, United States // +14177557155
This is a restaurant with an interesting story of two restaurant workers who dated once and then broke up.
On that note, they have decided to name the establishment the Split Social Kitchen.
The owners say that they can successfully co-parent. Therefore, they reasoned, why not start a business together? What could possibly fail? And their child gets to eat for free!
Their goal is to provide every guest with an enjoyable experience every day since they are passionate about cooking and having a good time.
The food here is creative and current, and the place has a relaxed atmosphere.
In Split Social Kitchen, they are creating a culinary menu where a variety of delectable food options are featured.
Some of the standouts here are the items mentioned below.
To start off with something fresh and refreshing, try their Princess Presley. It’s a salad of Mixed Greens and Red Onion, topped with Marinated Cherry Tomatoes, Goat Cheese, Roasted Artichoke Hearts, and Sprinkled Parmesan with a light balsamic dressing.
This will prepare your taste buds for the next tasty experience.
I’d also recommend trying the Maggie. Start with a potato bun with garlic citrus mayo, and fill it with a deep-fried Softshell Crab supplemented with Lettuce, Bacon and Roma Tomatoes. If that’s not enough – it is served with Battered Fries.
And if you are only in the mood for a snack or something on the side, get the Maria. This is Ahi Tuna with a sweet Soy Glaze served on wonton chips, topped with Wasabi Sour Cream, Kimchi Slaw, Green Onions, and Sliced Fresh Jalapeno. It is so crispy and juicy.
And if you want to have brunch here, you are in the right place. This new Springfield restaurant has another section in the menu dedicated to just that. At their brunch, choices range from burrata to eggs to nachos and everything in between.

They also have excellent drinks and cocktails here, so take that into consideration when ordering your beverages.

Karai Ramen and Handroll is a cozy and fashionable establishment where you can get the best ramen and sushi handrolls in Springfield, with other Asian cuisine served as well.
Tonkotsu broth, which is used to make authentic ramen, is freshly boiled daily for 24 to 48 hours to produce a thick, white broth.
Their pork is perfectly simmered, or chashu, which means braised until soft, and is offered in various ways, such as sandwiches, with ramen, and in combination with other foods.
A ramen bowl made to perfection includes their signature al dente-style ramen noodles, a seasoned boiled egg, firm on the exterior but soft inside, kimchi, nori, sautéed wood ear mushrooms, and fresh spring onions.
Your taste buds will be awakened by this bowl, and will have you coming back for more.
Each entree offers you additional choices and customization. Spice levels, protein type, like pork or chicken, more vegetables like onion or garlic, vegetarian or vegan suitable? Ask, and you shall receive. They have your back. All of the bowls may be personalized to your preferences and are freshly prepared every day.
A variety of sushi is available to choose from, along with a fun atmosphere.
One of the highlights in the sushi section is the Jurassic Park Roll. This is a delightful combination of is made with Shrimp Tempura, Crab, Cream Cheese, Eel, and Avocado. The toll is then topped with Tempura Shavings and Masago.
They also have hot sandwiches and rice bowls, as well as sides like Miso Soup, Edamame, and a House Salad.
Amazingly delectable drinks are being served in this new Springfield restaurant as well. Geisha Lips, Karai Mojito, and the Pomegranate Margarita are the top three cocktails served here, in my opinion. All of them are super refreshing and tasty; a bit on the sweet side, but super fresh.

Cafe Cusco is a cheerful new restaurant in Springfield with traditional Peruvian dishes and beverages in a chic, vibrant setting.
After hiking the Inca Trails to Machu Picchu with his best friend Rodrigo, Gringo Joe fell in love with Peru. When asked about his future plans, Joe declared, “I’m going to start a restaurant and call it Cafe Cusco.” His goal became reality when he and his mother, Claire, established Cafe Cusco.
Under the firm name Bartlet & Bartlet, two brothers who were also physicians and pharmacists constructed this lovely building in 1883. C-Street served as the Frisco Railroad’s corporate headquarters during that time.
The structure was an 1880s railroad corporate headquarters, later abandoned and in a state of disorder by the turn of the century. A historical restoration was overseen by artist Erik Kinkade, and Cafe Cusco debuted in July 2013.
It is a beautiful establishment, offering delicious, healthy food options with a Peruvian influence.

Lacy & Lily House Salad is one of the tastiest and most refreshing salads. It’s made with artisan greens, Parmesan cheese, seasonal tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and toasted pine nuts tossed in a sweet basil vinaigrette.
If you like pizza, try the Ben & Dana Hummus Pizza. Start with a thin pizza crust, add a layer of roasted tomato sauce and hummus, then throw on every seasonal vegetable in the kitchen, including artichoke and mushrooms.
The Marisela Lamb is one of the Chef’s favorite dishes to make. It is a grilled port-marinated New Zealand lamb rack with a Mint Mole finish. The lamb is served with Santa Fe-style Pozole topped with prosciutto.
