Mesón Sabika is probably the best restaurant in Naperville. It’s a traditional Spanish tapas restaurant located just outside downtown Naperville in a historic manor house and the decor is almost as good as the food.
It’s best to visit for weekend brunch when the buffet is served in addition to a small select menu. Brunch is a fixed price and costs about $35.00 per person with champagne and mimosas included.
Don’t skip the patatas bravas or stuffed mushrooms, they are staple dishes at Meson Sabika. They are open 7 days a week but brunch is when you will get the best value.

Nestled in a nook on the north side, this hole-in-the-wall sushi spot is still the best-kept secret in Naperville. With the best sushi combinations and inventive rolls, Wild Rice creates a taste explosion with every bite.
Start with the monster ball (spicy tuna wrapped in avocado) the sushi pizza or the tuna tataki (seared tuna with a special sauce). The best value is the sushi and sashimi combinations like their Sushi 4 Me or Sashimi 4 Us dishes. However, the signature rolls are what make Wild Rice unique. I recommend the Great Naperville Roll, the Ogden Avenue Roll, the Angel Roll (try switching the cucumber for cream cheese) and the Rock N Roll.
Additionally, the friendly staff gives you free pineapple for dessert on your first visit.

Looking for where to eat in Naperville that serves the best burgers? Jackson Avenue Pub has them. Jackson Avenue Pub has the largest selection in the city with eighteen different burgers to choose from. All burgers are a half pound of premium Angus beef with your choice of three different types of buns: the house bun, a pretzel bun, or wheat with oats.
The most popular options are the Bulleit Bourbon with swiss cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, and a bourbon honey glaze sauce or the Fried Pickle with cheddar and pepper jack, tomato, chipotle aioli sauce and of course fried pickles. However, my personal favorite is the Drunken Pear served with bourbon poached pear, goat cheese, and a balsamic glaze sauce. All burgers are served with your choice of french fries or tater tots.

Located in the heart of downtown Naperville, Everdine’s is an oasis of comfort food. Everdine’s specialty is handcrafted grilled cheese sandwiches, any way you want them. They have the classic all-American grilled cheese, of course, but also sandwiches with ham and grilled pineapple, grilled chicken with buffalo sauce and blue cheese or even sloppy joe. Create your own combination or try my favorite: the usual suspect, bacon, and tomato with three different kinds of cheese.
All sandwiches are reasonably priced with the classic costing only $5.00 and the most expensive costing $9.25

Fat Rosie’s is fairly new, but has become one of the locals favorite restaurants in Naperville. This authentic Mexican restaurant was a welcomed addition, with chihuahua cheese dip, enchiladas in mole sauce and salmon poblano.
Plus Fat Rosie’s has a talking Donkey! Fat Rosie, the talking donkey, sings happy birthday while hanging out above the bar. The atmosphere is almost as good as the food. Don’t miss the camarones al modo de ajo, sautéed shrimp in a sweet garlic sauce, or the pollo al chipotle, a grilled chicken breast with a creamy chipotle sauce with garlic mash potatoes and crispy onions.
Be aware Fat Rosie’s is a little more expensive than the average Mexican restaurant but the authentic food is worth every penny.

On many Naperville best restaurants lists you’ll read that the best seafood is found at Catch 35 or Hugo Frog’s but these aren’t the best, they’re the most expensive. Take it from a Naperville local, the best spot for seafood is a little hole in the wall place called Succulent Seafood.
It’s not a fancy sit down restaurant, in fact, most people get their fish to go. Succulent Seafood also doubles as a fish market you can get seafood wrapped to take home and cook it yourself or prepared in a take-out box ready to eat.
At Succulent Seafood, you’ll find fish absent from any other place in the area. Enjoy gulf fish like grilled grouper and red snapper or more traditional options like seared tuna and wild salmon. However, fish is not all it has to offer as one of my favorites is the shrimp and crawfish pasta.

This Naperville dining list wouldn’t be complete without the best deep dish pizza in Naperville. There’s a lot of controversy in the Chicago area surrounding the argument over who does it best. The pursuit of the best deep dish pizza is really an art in Chicago, and Naperville is no different. As a local, I’m here to tell you, that in Naperville, it’s Lou Malnati’s.
Superior pizza is made from superior ingredients, and Lou Malnati’s uses the best and freshest ingredients. There are many locations spread throughout the Chicago area but the most convenient in Naperville is downtown on Jefferson Avenue. If you’re not sure what to order, start with the Lou, their signature pizza.

While there are several good Italian restaurants in Naperville and everyone has their favorite there is one that stands out amongst the rest. With unique and delicious dishes like black lobster fettuccine and crab-stuffed cod, there is no competition. Biaggi’s most surprising delight is the honey roasted beet salad which has become my favorite, and I don’t even like beets.
If you’re planning to visit on Friday or Saturday night make sure to have a reservation. Biaggi’s also offers small pasta dishes if you are looking for a smaller portion, but it’s not the best value. The small plates are quite small and it’s better to pay the extra $2 and get more. My personal favorites are the Ravioli Quattro Formaggi and the Shrimp and Crab Cannelloni with spinach pasta.

On the far north side of Naperville, there is a restaurant row area with the best chain restaurants but White Chocolate Grill stands out as the best. There are only three White Chocolate Grill locations in the U.S. and Naperville has one of them.
The White Chocolate Grill is an “Honest American Dining Experience” with a menu large enough for anyone to find something they love. They even have a gluten-free menu. Menu highlights include but are certainly not limited to, the Roast Prime Rib, Ahi Tuna Salad, and the Blackened Sea Bass. I highly recommend the Mardi Gras Jambalaya and the White Chocolate Brownie.
As an elegant American Grill, the White Chocolate Grill is more expensive than your average American grill but with much better food. Most entrees are between $15 and $25 dollars with some of the more expensive items like the Parmesan Crusted Filet costing approximately $35.00

Fire It Up is a local treasure in Naperville and the best Naperville restaurant if you are craving Mexican food. Located on the north side of the city, it is the place to go for tacos. While there are other items on the menu, tacos are their specialty. As long as you order those, you will not be disappointed.
Fire it Up also offers a Taco Flight, where you can mix and match 12 of your choice of 4 types of tacos for $45.00. I most recommend the southwest chicken, steak, ground sirloin, and shrimp tacos.

SanguChe is a family owned small establishment that is still a well-kept secret in Naperville. It is primarily a Peruvian sandwich shop but they also make homemade empanadas and alfajores.
With funny movie quote posters lining the walls, it’s the perfect spot for a quick bite of Peruvian food. The sandwiches are huge so bring your appetite, plus all sandwiches come with fries or a salad. I highly recommend the Aji de Gallina, a spicy chicken sandwich with fried sweet potatoes and a hard-boiled egg. Also try the Lomo Saltado which is my personal favorite, a sirloin steak sandwich with grilled onions and peppers.
All sandwiches are reasonably priced. A regular sized sandwich costs only $9.99 and the large is $12.99 Finish it off with a traditional Peruvian beverage like chicha morada or inca cola.

At first glance, the menu at Eggs Inc can be intimidating. It’s one of the largest menus I’ve ever seen with omelets, with scramblers, benedicts, and frittatas it’s easy to get lost, and that’s just the egg dishes. They also have pancakes and waffles, French toast and anything you could possibly want for breakfast. Whether it’s country fried chicken and eggs or a breakfast sandwich, everyone will find something they love at Eggs Inc.
Conveniently located in downtown Naperville it’s the perfect spot to meet friends for brunch. There are also three locations in the Chicago area. It’s moderately priced with the average plate costing $10.00 and they serve breakfast all day.
They also offer typical lunch items like burgers, wraps or salads for those who don’t like to have breakfast for dinner.

As a newcomer, Allegory has risen to the challenge of downtown Naperville. Allegory only opened in the winter of 2018 but has quickly become a local favorite. Allegory is an American restaurant with exotic dishes that are sure to catch the eye.
The menu can be a little difficult to read with dishes like we wanted to cook octopus, chef’s never bored (charcuterie platter), up a creek (trout) or skirt the issue (skirt steak). My personal favorites are the pleasant pheasant pot pie and not poutine.
The prices are a little above average but the food is well worth it. In fact, every item with the exception of three costs between 10 and 20 dollars. The only dishes that cost more are the trout, shirt steak, and short ribs.

Just off Jefferson street in downtown Naperville sits a family owned Irish Pub called Quigley’s. Perfect for a pint Quigley’s in the best bar in downtown Naperville. Its authentic Irish feel makes it overrun on St. Patrick’s Day, but it’s a mellow spot for day drinking every other day of the year.
Soccer is always on the TVs on weekend mornings. Quigley’s comfort food perfectly partners its beer with authentic Irish dishes like lamb stew and fish and chips. For the full Irish experience, start with the potato leek soup or corned beef bites and then follow it up with the Shepards pie.
If you’re looking for a less authentic experience Quigley’s also serves Angus burgers, pub sandwiches, and salads.

This list wouldn’t be complete without the best dessert spot in Naperville, Cookie Dough Creations. The mixology of Cookie Dough Creations is simple, combine a variety of types of cookie dough with different flavors of ice cream. There are eight flavors of cookie dough which can be combined with sixteen different flavors of ice cream. Afterward, they can even put it in an ice cream sandwich.
Enjoy moose tracks ice cream with fudge brownie cookie dough or cappuccino crunch ice cream with peanut butter cookie dough. My personal favorite is cake batter ice cream with frosted sugar cookie dough.
