Mequon Pizza Company is a great family-owned business and has one of the best pizza in Mequon. One of the owners is usually working behind the bar. The service is friendly, and the cuisine is delicious comfort food.
There isn’t a lot of waitstaff because you order food and drinks at the bar. There are some gluten-free choices available. It’s always quite busy, but the kitchen moves quickly.
This is one of the best destinations in the area for pizza and beer lovers; hidden between the Thiensville and Mequon areas, this house-like restaurant boasts a wide horseshoe bar smack dab in one large room.
If you are a first-timer, you will notice there are no servers; instead, you’ll order at the bar. This can slow down service at peak times, but the staff is cheerful and accommodating.
The thin-crust pizzas at MPC are to die for, and while I enjoy a good Chicago deep-dish pizza, the deep dish at MPC is not up to par. However, the side salad is a great way to start if you’re not in the mood for their excellent wonton-wrapped mozzarella sticks.
Their thin crust pizza is delicious. They add sauce after the toppings, so there doesn’t appear to be much cheese. The handmade chips with cheese sauce and the beef lasagna are popular. They also offer to carry out if you don’t finish your meal!
It’s a well-known local pizza business for when you want a decent beer with supper; their other menu items will more than suffice; I’ve yet to have a sandwich that I didn’t appreciate.

Leonardo’s Pizza

This is the only and best NYC pizza on the Northshore. So fold it over and pack it in! Hidden off Mequon Road, Leonardo knows how to represent the 212. Their pies are hand-tossed and laid with a foundation of personal toppings that will make your mouth water.
This is my friend’s favorite, so he introduced me to it when we visited this weekend. This pizza is easily understandable as to why he raves about it.
The NY-style crust is thin but not soggy, with a pillowy edge that is the perfect spot of un-topped edge for holding and folding.There is ample cheese, and the toppings are generous but not so plentiful you are overwhelmed.
We opted for sausage + olive and a veggie option with olives, green peppers, mushrooms, and onions. As a veggie pizza lover, I have to say this was one of the favorites I’ve had. The veggies were thinly sliced, so the pizza didn’t get watery. The sausage had excellent seasoning as well. I recommend visiting here on your next tour! You’ll get a taste of Brooklyn-style pizza in Mequon.
Zarletti Mequon

Everything about my experience at Zarletti’s was beautiful, from the courteous service to the delicious cuisine.
It’s a wonderful mix of formal and casual, allowing you to wear anything from jeans to a more formal dress. In addition, there are numerous seating options available to suit your mood.
Do not be afraid to ask where you would like to sit in the restaurant if you have a preference. All of the staff I encountered were quite accommodating.
First and foremost, all of the pasta, including the ravioli, is prepared in-house. I can vouch for the quality of the pappardelle and ravioli based on my own experience. Their pizza is authentic and delicious as well!
If you’re visiting Zarletti for the first time and enjoy pasta, I highly recommend the Pappardelle Bolognese, a slow-cooked stew of beef, pork, and veal ragu. No, not the Ragu brand sauce your mother used to cook. A ragu is a tomato-based meat sauce from Italy.
My favorite on the menu is the Apple Gorgonzola Pizza. It has blue cheese crumbles, nuts, and the perfect tart taste from when you bite into the hot, green, sliced apples. Delicious! The best part is that it will fill you up but won’t make you feel like a million pounds afterward.
A great place to go with a very close friend or if you’re looking for something romantic but still not overdoing it for a second date!
One thing I like about Zarletti is that you can share salads. They served the salad family-style with a large serving utensil for a party of three. They served two smaller salads. Very good! Give it a go. You’ll get some of the best pizza in Mequon.
Chancery Restaurant & Pub

The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Our waiter was quite friendly, and the service was quick. There were so many menu options, and everyone at our table agreed the food was delicious. In addition to vegetarian and vegan options, meaty options are available. Excellent for all diets and lifestyles.
This restaurant has a great ambiance and delivers lovely food. Authentic wood-fired pizza, salads, burgers, and sandwiches. I could smell the hardwood smoke as we got out of the car.
I ordered the $5 personal pizza from the football specials, figuring it wouldn’t be anything exceptional. My toppings were Italian sausage and red onion. The pizza was rather tasty!
The sausage was tasty, the cheese was of good quality, and the crust appeared handcrafted (hand-tossed) and coated with cornmeal before being baked in their wood oven.

Downtown Pizza

We came here for the first time and were blown away. It has a tiny, vintage pizza place feel to it, with an ice cream counter stocked with numerous Cedar Crest ice flavors.
We got the garlic bread, a deep-dish pizza with most of the toppings of a supreme, and a tiny ten-inch spinach, artichoke, and chicken pizza with a cauliflower crust from their specialty menu.
I’d never eaten a pizza with a cauliflower crust, which was delicious! It has a little strong flavor that comes out in waves and beautifully complements the artichoke, chicken, and spinach, and the sauce provides harmony to the rest of the pizza’s melody.
The garlic bread came in two enormous slices with a deliciously browned cheese and garlic topping, and the butter just soaked into the bread so perfectly that it tasted like the entire piece was infused with garlic and cheese!
And now for the main attraction; deep-dish pizza. The dough was obviously deep-dish but not too bready that it obscured the toppings, and it had some chewiness that provided an excellent introduction to the pizza.
The toppings and sauce were all the way to the edges, and the actual pizza appearance hinted at a fantastic experience! There were no bare patches, thin spots, or flat spots to be found. Every single topping on the pizza could be tasted with each bite.
